We have been working with Archimede for about 2 years now and we use the CAD/CAM module. The daily use of Archimede simplifies the design and production process of our window frames. We can create various frame types such as tilt-and-turn windows, lift-and-slide windows, doors, windows, and combinations thereof. Details such as various decorative mouldings can also be selected per frame.
After drawing, the cutting lists are also ready for production. After configuring the hardware, glazing, panels, etc., we can generate the CAM files. These are then read by our CNC machine (SCM Accord 42 FX).
A major advantage is that we can draw and also produce all shapes — think round arches, basket arches, angled sides, or a custom shape drawn via the CAD module. Archimede has become an important part of our joinery factory. Drawing and controlling our SCM Accord 42 FX has accelerated significantly — individual frame/window components or windows and doors for milling can all be controlled through it.
The option to place 1 or 2 parts consecutively on the machine also increases production capacity. We also have a connection to our crosscut saw so that it can be read directly into the software. CNCware is a young and dynamic team — they respond quickly to questions and are continuously working on improving the software based on feedback. This demonstrates their commitment to delivering a high-quality software package and meeting the needs of the customer.

In Aagtekerke, on one of the beautiful Zeeland islands, you will find the joinery factory of the De Visser family, started about 15 years ago by Sjaak de Visser. In the joinery factory, high-quality staircases, window frames, windows and doors (and related products) are made. The joinery factory generally handles small projects, but series production also occasionally occurs. It has since built a good reputation in the Walcheren region. This has, among other things, meant that they can occasionally be found as far as Amsterdam.
In the meantime, the next generation (Jan de Visser) has joined the business. Jan closed his own company and fully focused on the joinery factory. Last year the joinery factory was modernised and significant investments were made in, among other things, a 5-axis CNC machine with a high working height and a laser projector. Additional staff were also hired to be able to produce the staircases (and window frames).
To simplify and automate the drawing and production of staircases, and after comparison with other parties, the decision was made to go with the Staircon CAM5 package by Elecosoft. Staircon was chosen because of its attractive and modern appearance and ease of use.
“The package simply looked good. Now that we are working with it, developing a staircase goes much faster and any changes are easier to implement. For example, a dog-leg staircase is easy to work out in Staircon and the control output to the CNC machine is also good. Measurement differences can (almost) no longer occur in this way,” says Jan de Visser.
In the future, the De Visser family wants to grow further in exclusivity and quality. A switch to Staircon CAM5+ for the production of curved strings and wreaths is possibly still an option.
For over thirty years, staircases have been made in the Dutch village of Kerkenveld by Harrie Botter. In recent years the next generation has taken on an increasingly important role within the company. The future is being carefully crafted and automating the production process is a necessary part of that.
“We have always kept up with the times and increasingly acquired machines that were digitally controlled. We also want to be ready for the future and have thought long and hard about purchasing a CNC machine. Because someone left the production team and because it was difficult to find staff, a first CNC machine turned out to be truly necessary,” say Nick and Lisa Botter.
A CNC machine, the Busellato Jet Master T XL S6/15, was purchased together with Staircon CAD/CAM software for designing staircases and controlling the CNC machine.
“With our machine supplier we have a relationship of many years. They are very familiar with our company and the way we work. They researched which CNC machine is best suited for us. As staircase software we chose Staircon because of its ease of use and the direct control of our machine.”
“Previously we designed our staircases manually with pencil and paper. We had expected the transition to be complex, but this turned out to be much easier than expected. The switch from ‘by hand’ to ‘on screen’ even went very smoothly.”
Because the machine and the software are still new to us, we sometimes still have some minor difficulties, but we can always count on the support of both our machine supplier Talen Machines and Staircon.

We are Van den Oosten Bouw from ‘s Gravendeel and over four years ago we specialised in exclusive CNC woodworking. For contractors and private clients we make all types of wooden window frames, windows, shopfronts and doors. But also staircases, furniture, cabinets, tables and kitchens.
We made an inventory of our requirements and the possibilities of the software. It turned out that this was actually all possible with Archimede. Especially for bespoke work, such as drawing and developing special shapes, Archimede adds value. Think of arched work and pointed frames. For arched work we now also immediately have the correct glass schedules.
Another major advantage is that the Saomad and the SCM Accord can now be controlled from a single package. The SCM Accord can now also be controlled from Archimede for panel doors and moulded panels.
We currently run the entire factory on Archimede. An additional advantage is that CNCware also has software for staircase production (Staircon), which we also own, and a cabinet configurator (SmartCabinet). This way we ultimately have three software packages for the entire production and a single point of contact for service and maintenance. We are very satisfied with this. We receive good support and service. As soon as we call Matthijs (or one of his colleagues), he always immediately assists remotely. We also received good help and clear explanations with the SCM Accord. In short, we are very satisfied!
In the heart of Flevoland is HPkozijn, a joinery factory specialising in certified passive window frames. Our success is not only due to our high-quality products, but also to our strategic partnerships and our choice of innovative software solutions. One of our most crucial decisions was the collaboration with CNCware and the implementation of Archimede.
Why CNCware and Archimede?
The decision to choose CNCware and Archimede went beyond the technical aspects alone. It was a strategic choice based on attractiveness and persuasiveness towards our clients. Archimede Kosmosoft offers a comprehensive package that combines CRM, ERP, CAD and CAM, which means that we can not only work more efficiently, but also present our clients with a complete and professional offering.
Attractive quotations
Our quotations are more than a price quote; they are a visual presentation of our craftsmanship and expertise. Thanks to Archimede Kosmosoft, our quotations contain detailed U-value calculations, cross-section drawings, and where necessary, CAD drawings. This not only helps our clients in making well-considered decisions, but also strengthens their confidence in the quality and precision of our products.
Flexibility and support
The programme supports a wide range of machine controls, which gives us the flexibility to work with different machines and technologies. Moreover, with a strong back office, we can count on direct and expert support when needed. This support is invaluable and is guaranteed by the close collaboration with Matthijs from CNCware. His knowledge and helpfulness have been decisive in our decision to enter into this collaboration.
A forward-looking vision
At HPkozijn we always look to the future. Our investment in Archimede Kosmosoft and the collaboration with CNCware are a testament to our commitment to innovation and customer focus. We strive to offer our clients the best products and services, and with the right technology and partners at our side, we are ready to take on every challenge.
Closing words
At HPkozijn we believe in quality, innovation and customer satisfaction. Thanks to our collaboration with CNCware and the integration of Archimede Kosmosoft, we are able to realise these core values and further strengthen our position as market leader in passive window frames.
